More about Edgar Jack;
Edgar Jack (real name Benjamin Zulauf) is an electronic music producer and house/techno DJ. Born in Switzerland but having grown up in Australia, his interest with electronic music first began in 1997 when he bought his first Roland drum machine and Juno synthesizer after having seen Jeff Mills perform at a warehouse party in Melbourne. It was here where he witnessed Mills play live with a TR-909.
From his early beginnings to the present, Edgar Jack has been focusing his energies on building up his production sound and knowledge, having moved away from Australia and back to Europe, he immersed himself in the scenes coming out there, in particular from Berlin. Edgar Jack’s sounds began to borrow from the minimal and deep sounds he heard, helping to expand his palette and open his ears anew.
Edgar’s music has been released on labels such as Manual, Hummingbird (which he manages) and Claap Rec where his productions and remixes have gained support and plays from the likes of Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Magda, Craig Richards, Justin Drake (Peace Division), Paco Osuna, Konrad Black and Nima Gorji. Currently he continues his pursuit with production and to release new music.
