The annual Portuguese techno marathon ‘Festival Forte’ have announced the first wave of artists that will be playing the third edition of the festival this Summer. Heavyweight headliners include Berghain buddies Marcel Dettmann & Ben Klock, Kompact boss Michael Mayer, globetrotting Berliner Rodhad and the in demand Apparat. For those with a slightly more discerning taste; artists found amongst the announcement include Silent Servant, Truncate, Helena Hauff and an especially exciting live set from Sebastian Mullaert (aka Minilogue) & Ulf Eriksson. Given this is only the first wave, with 2 more announcements due between now and summer this years edition is looking like their most interesting yet.
Festival Forte will run over 3 nights from Thursday 25th – Saturday 27th August at Montemor-o-Velho Castle which is located roughly half way between Lisbon & Porto in the beautiful Coimbra region of Portugal. Regular flights are available from Manchester to both Lisbon & Porto and the ticket price including camping is just 55 Euros. With the impressive medieval castle once again providing the venue and the beach being just a short drive away we’ve already decided which European festival to attend this summer.
